As part of the public programme for What Rose from the Cut, Graces Mews hosts a hands-on badge-making workshop for children and young people, in collaboration with Give Me Space, an arts organisation that works to make art workshops accessible to young people. The sessions will be led by artist and workshop coordinator Elnaz Niknani, the Give Me Space team and collage artist Cece Asembo. Working with collage, participants will cut, combine and remix images to create their own designs for personalised badges. The workshop encourages experimentation with colour, shape and found imagery, while exploring how images and messages shape the world around us and how they can be rearranged to imagine something different. Each participant will take home their finished badges.
The workshop is free to attend, but places are limited. Please RSVP to confirm a spot in the appropriate session.
